The terms, in plain English

Minimum term

Twelve months from the day the site goes live. That is how the build gets paid for without you paying upfront. After twelve months it becomes rolling monthly.

Cancelling

Any time after the minimum term, with 30 days' notice. Your domain and your content come with you, and we will transfer the domain wherever you want it.

Before you commit

Nothing is owed while we are designing and building. If you look at the finished site and decide against it, that is the end of the matter and there is no invoice.

Pricing questions

Why is it a monthly fee rather than a one-off price?

Because a website is not a one-off thing. It needs hosting, a certificate, a domain, patching and someone to fix it when it breaks. Charging monthly means those are covered rather than quietly becoming your problem six months in — and it means you do not need £2,000 to get started.

Can I just buy the site outright instead?

Yes. Ask and we will quote a one-off build price with the site handed over to you. Most people prefer the monthly route because it costs nothing to find out whether they like the result, but the option is there.

Does the price go up?

Not during your minimum term. If we ever change pricing for new clients it does not affect your agreement. The only thing that changes your monthly figure is you asking us to add something, and you would agree that number first.

Are there setup fees or hidden extras?

No setup fee, no design fee, no charge for the domain or the certificate. The things that cost extra are features that make the site do more, and they are quoted as a fixed monthly addition before any work starts.

What if I need changes after it is live?

Content changes are not part of the £55. That fee covers the site existing and staying healthy, not ongoing design work. In practice, small one-off jobs — updating your opening hours, swapping a phone number, correcting a price — we will just do. Bigger pieces of work, like new pages or adding a booking system, are quoted as a one-off at a fair price and agreed before anything starts.

So what maintenance is included?

Everything needed to keep the site running properly: hosting, the security certificate, security patches, software and platform updates, backups, uptime monitoring and fixing bugs when they appear. If the site goes down or something stops working, sorting it is on us and there is no invoice for it.

Who owns the domain?

You do. We register and renew it as part of the fee, but it is your domain and it leaves with you if you go.
